Oceanhorn is a free role-playing adventure game with a heavy Legend of Zelda influence. Play as a young adventurer who goes on an epic quest across the seas to find out the fate of his father.
In terms of art style and interface, it is clear where the inspiration for Oceanhorn came from. The hearts for life, the sword and shield style of combat, magical items and talking boat all bare the mark of Zelda, especially Wind Waker. It isn't, however, fair to call it a rip-off. With a greater focus on puzzles, smaller towns and dungeons, this is a game designed to fit the mobile platform. Sail the seas and explore islands, collect items, solve challenging dungeons and follow an engaging storyline filled with interesting characters in a colourful world. Oceanhorn supports both touchscreen controls and controller, with the touchscreen option having some small issues. The graphics are bright without being a direct copy of Wind Waker's cell shading.
Oceanhorn is a fun adventure title which makes up for in polish what it lacks in original ideas. Fans of Zelda and other similar titles will feel right at home in the cosy world. The free variety offers a decently robust experience but lacks all the side quests and activities.
